Section 3 - Green spaces, landscape and play
A key part of this will be restoring the natural valley that runs through the site - creating a more natural setting that supports wildlife, helping manage water naturally and providing space for walking, exploring and spending time outdoors.
We are also looking at how Gwash Meadows can be retained and enhanced as a large natural green space. Building on its existing character, it could become a place that feels much closer to the surrounding countryside than a traditional park, whilst creating stronger connections between Stamford North and the wider landscape.

Spaces for young people and teens
These have been a consistent theme through our conversations to date. Young people of all ages need somewhere to go that’s safe, welcoming and close to home where they can spend time with friends, be independent and feel part of the community.
10. What sorts of spaces would you like to see for children and young people in Stamford North?
Please grab your littluns or teens and get them involved in this question. We are also running a youth questionnaire which is available here: - and we would love to hear from them.
